Success is the reward of hard work, determination and resilience. Audi wanted to share these inspirational stories at a live-stream event in Santa Monica in the spring of 2014. It was a massive community-driven event known by its Twitter handle #PaidMyDues, an extension of the "Paid My Dues" campaign that Audi featured at the debut of the A3.

"The stories we've received so have come from people all over the country," said Andrew Lipman, general manager of communications for Audi of America, New York.

"It's been inspiring to read so many accounts of individuals who have truly paid their dues to achieve success - quitting a job to pursue a lifelong dream, going back to college, overcoming illness. We are excited to see how our creative partners will reimagine these stories…"

The event took place on May 7, 2014, for over seven hours in a hanger at Santa Monica airport. To celebrate the creative spirit, Audi brought in 15 artists. The ambitious event featured music, sound deconstruction, and an art installation featuring edible "flowers" made from organic produce.
